The President of Nigerian Union of Journalists NUJ, Anambra State Council, Dr. Odogwu Emeka Odogwu praised the government led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo for responding positively to the appeals of the state’s citizens over the poor condition of major roads, making this remarks in Awka calling on state governments to also address citizen welfare issues and develop government policies that would serve as social safety nets and stimulus packages to help cushion the impact of economic situation of the country.
He added the level of insecurity in the state, which has led to a spate of senseless killings, armed robberies and kidnappings, especially in the capital, and urged the state government and security agencies to nip the ugly trend in the bud.
