Man Killed a Commercial Bus Driver to Death in Anambra State

A man identified as Akpa Lebechukwu from Enugu State has macheted a commercial bus driver to death in Anambra State.
It was gathered that the incident happened at Okija Junction, Ihiala Local Government Area of the state.
The unidentified driver of the vehicle, who was heading to Imo State from Lagos, was said to have parked the vehicle to drop off some passengers before the suspect jumped into the vehicle and macheted him to death.
The driver was rushed to the hospital before he was declared dead by a medical doctor on duty.
The Anambra State Police command’s spokesperson, Toochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the incident, said the man jumped into the vehicle after the driver had dropped off passengers and macheted him.
Ikenga said, the police arrested a Male name Akpa Lebechukwu 25years, from Enugu State, and recovered one machete from him.
“The suspect attacked the driver of a commercial vehicle on transit from Lagos to Imo State at Okija junction, along Onitsha-Owerri Expressway.
Ikenga said the state police commissioner had ordered the immediate transfer of the matter to the state criminal investigation department.
