DELTA STATE BUDGET 2023

The Delta State Government in its commitment to complete all ongoing projects in the state before the present administration winds up, says it is set to propose an implementable budget that will capture ongoing infrastructural projects and give priority to the social sector for 2023.

The State Commissioner for Economic Planning, Barry Pere Gbe, who disclosed this during the 2023 Citizens Budget Engagement held at the Government House Press center, Asaba in an interactive session with representatives of the Delta Traditional Rulers Council, Civil Society Organizations, Community President Generals across the state and Ministries Department and Agencies, MDAs, said the meeting was aimed at assessing the success so far of the 2022 budget and discuss the 2023 budget proposal.

Gbe pointed that as a transition budget there was need for proper scrutiny in order to give priority to what was most needed and doable as according to him, it will be the last for the present administration.
