Commissioner for information, Charles Aniagwu, has called for the need to employ more hands into state owned media houses as according to him, productivity is low due to the poor staff strength.

Aniagwu, who made the call during the bilateral discussions with the Ministry of Economic Planning on its proposed budget for the year 2023 while presenting Its budget plan to the ministry, noted that facilities needs to be upgraded in state owned media houses and staff added to the government payroll for better productivity.

He appealed passionately to the Ministry of Economic Planning to reflect these in the proposed 2023 budget as he described it as a matter of urgency for the benefit of the state.
