The State House of Assembly speaker, Right Honourable Uche Okafor has described the appointment of Governor Chukwuma Soludo as the National Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, by the National Executive of the party as expected and meritorious.
In his Congratulatory Message to Governor Soludo on the appointment, Right Honourable Okafor noted that this is the first time in the political history of Nigeria a professor is chosen as the National Leader of a political party, a feat he described as a great advantage and pride to Anambra State.
The Speaker who expressed confidence in the ability of Governor Soludo to function effectively as the National Leader of the party, maintained that the indigenous nature of the Governor is in tandem with the APGA philosophy, “Be your brother’s keeper”.
He extolled the good works of the previous National Leaders of the party and thanked the APGA National Chairman, Chief Victor Oye and his Executive Committee for discovering the leadership potential of Governor Soludo especially in human and financial management, which according to him, necessitated the appointment.
