Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, Catholic bishop of the Diocese of Awka, called on Nigerians not to let money influence them in next month’s general election, noting that now is the time for voters to express their views as they are indeed improving the country.
He lamented that the country’s poor governance had led to unspeakable economic hardship, insecurity and unemployment, adding that there was a need to free the masses from their shackles.
He urge those who have not yet collected permanent voter cards to collect them, as this is the only tool to improve the country.
The bishop expressed hope that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will level the playing field for all political parties and urged people to vote according to their conscience and for candidates they know represent the situation in the country.
